AROMA Audio Xuanwu


In 2024, portable speakers have become a part of many people's lives. To make it easier for more people to get started without the need to carry an additional DAP, AROMA Audio has decided to launch the portable Type C decoder "Xuanwu."


We have noticed that most people today are willing to use the commonly known "mouse tail" decoding to pursue better sound quality. In order to allow this group of people to enjoy better sound quality in an extremely compact size, we spent several years developing and creating the "Xuanwu."


The product is named after one of China's sacred beasts, the "Xuanwu," because the design of the outer shell resembles the shape of a turtle shell, and it is made with a fully metal-assembled outer shell, which is very sturdy. Based on this impression, "Xuanwu" was chosen as the product name.


The shell material is made of 6061-t6 aerospace aluminum alloy, produced using CNC cutting technology. 6061-t6 aerospace aluminum alloy is commonly used in the manufacture of aircraft fuselages, engine parts, and more. 6061-t6 aluminum alloy has a high strength-to-weight ratio, excellent weldability, and corrosion resistance. Using this metal material to create the shell allows for a combination of lightweight and sturdiness.


AROMA Audio "Xuanwu" uses dual CS43198 decoding chips, supporting audio formats up to PCM 32bit 768KHz and DSD256, which can meet the needs of the vast majority of audio files and streaming platforms. "Xuanwu" supports 3.5mm and 4.4mm output terminals, which can already meet the needs of most wired in-ear headphone products.


「Xuanwu」 continues to inherit AROMA Audio's exclusive interchangeable op-amp design. This time, AROMA Audio has equipped the "Xuanwu" with two different op-amps. The built-in op-amp for "Xuanwu" is the "high-definition" AROMA 01 op-amp, and an additional pair of "vocal" op-amps will be included in the packaging, allowing users to change the op-amps according to their preferences.


"HD" amplifier: The space will have a larger and more three-dimensional performance, with a stronger sense of power in the low frequencies, making it very suitable for music with a strong rhythm.


"Vocal" AROMA 02 Op-Amp makes vocals more delicate, with a richer expression of emotional sound. The high-frequency extension is notably superior compared to another op-amp.


As a new project from AROMA Audio, we hope that "Xuanwu" can allow more people to enjoy higher quality sound and reignite their pursuit of audio quality. For other audiophiles, "Xuanwu" can also meet everyone's portable experience, being powerful enough to drive the vast majority of in-ear headphones. "Xuanwu" serves as a bridge between the past and the future, becoming a product that can be easily used by portable audio beginners without compromising on sound quality.
