The first Effect Audio-ConX "Strategic Alliance" Hong Kong brand

In 2021, Vortex dedicated most of its time to cables, accessories, and packaging. However, the hottest accessory is the ConX plug from the renowned Singaporean brand Effect Audio. After considerable effort, we are honored to have received authorization from Effect Audio, officially becoming the first Hong Kong brand to obtain a "strategic alliance," and we are directly authorized to use the brand's ConX products for sale on Vortex cables.

Golden Ratio

After years of research and development on headphone cables, Vortex has developed a unique golden ratio cable specifically for in-ear headphones. Due to the skin effect, high-frequency signals tend to transmit on the surface of the conductor, so having a slender conductor with a larger total relative surface area results in less distortion at high frequencies. Based on this principle, the main core uses wires with diameters in the golden ratio, paired with different materials to ensure that different frequencies can be conducted through uniquely designed channels.

Mountain system style reaches new heights

C.F.S. was originally designed to be a portable, stylish series with excellent sound quality and shielding features. After years of experience, material application, and data integration, it started with the RGB red, green, and blue of "Petrus," "N-2B," and "501," then moved on to the gray "Alida," and finally introduced the mountain-style "Lavinia," which has become the pinnacle of the C.F.S. series. The innovation and fashion trend impression of the C.F.S. series have long become one of the most representative symbols of Vortex.

Although Lavinia has been a product since 2022, it has always been a very prominent cable favored by audiophiles and collaborating manufacturers. As time has passed, we have reached 2024, and the cable industry has changed significantly. We continue to innovate and take risks under our understanding of acoustics, materials, and structures, creating the ultimate answer of the new C.F.S series, 'Nadia'. It will inherit the spirit of Lavinia and lead us to welcome the next revolution! 

The representative status of transcendence

Nadia comes from the Hebrew name נָעֳמִי (Na'omi), which means 'pleasant'. It shares the same name as the protagonist of the famous Japanese anime 'Adventure Girl Natiya' from many years ago, and it resonates with the brand's spirit of exploration. In terms of appearance, it adopts the three common patterns used in the C.F.S. series, and the texture is embellished with the ultra-limited product Eilana's iridescent synthetic fiber threads. It is not difficult to affirm her extraordinary positioning, and she also becomes the representative product to take on the family's heavy responsibilities in the next generation!

破舊立新（STP+）

In the past, Vortex often used the Shielded Twisted Pair (STP) structure in the C.F.S. Series, where the same and proportionate materials were typically used for both the positive and negative poles. However, Nadia aims to integrate more material advantages in the design by using different material ratios and structures for different polarities to achieve suitable sound quality and positioning. This approach allows for the acoustic characteristics of various materials to be expressed from a more reasonable acoustic perspective, and we refer to this technology as (Shielded Twisted Pair Plus).

Japan NUC Air Infiltration Technology

In the world of HiFi cables, Teflon is the top choice for insulation materials mainly due to its excellent dielectric constant, which effectively reduces the impact of the insulation layer on high frequencies while achieving a tighter low-frequency cohesion. Vortex uses a method of air-infused polyethylene to create the outer insulation layer. Since 25% of the insulator is air, the insulation layer even has a lower dielectric constant than Teflon, further reducing the microcharges accumulated in the insulator, allowing the high-frequency components to be more authentic.

Composite outer skin shock absorption

In addition to the main coating of the core using air-infiltrated polyethylene and twisted positive and negative electrodes, Vortex has also introduced a shock-absorbing layer for the first time to counteract external resonances on the wire, elevating the originally quiet background to a new level. Internal shock absorption has been widely applied in HiFi applications due to its significant effects, but it is rarely seen in headphone cables. The main reason is that under the limited wire diameter, the conductor already occupies a large portion of the cross-sectional area, and adding a shock-absorbing layer significantly increases the complexity and difficulty of the manufacturing process.

The integration of multiple architectures that connects the previous and the next.

At the beginning of Nadia's plan, we aimed to integrate all the technologies from the C.F.S. Series family. In addition to the brand new Shielded Twisted Pair Plus, we also utilized the Golden Ratio structure from Lavinia and Eddie Squared on the positive pole. Coupled with various materials such as 'gold-silver alloy, single crystal silver plated gold, single crystal copper plated gold, and single crystal silver' in different wire gauges and ratios, this allows for a more exquisite performance in the mid to high frequency range. On the negative pole, we employed the Multi Structure from Elsa and Seraphina, using 'single crystal copper and single crystal silver' as materials, significantly enhancing the texture, depth potential, and transient response in the low frequency range!

In today's market, there are a wide variety of cables, and how to stand out among them has become Vortex's challenge. Vortex spent a whole year dedicated to improving every detail of packaging and accessories.
